The pne-replicator produces one or more copies of the link traffic and distributes the copies to various independent consumer applications.

The pne-replicator can receive on Long Range optical modules (10,000 m) and copy to Short Range optical modules (100 m) or Direct Attached cables (5 m) depending on the proximity of some or all of it consumer applications which helps reduce the cost of replication. Egress links can be looped back or cascaded into another pne-replicator to apply different processes such as filtering, balancing or slicing, etc. An API allows for its integration into downstream statistics and management system.
