The ps Record and Playback processor, ps-rapp, captures Ethernet packets from 100 G links at line speed and records to disk. It can then playback these disk captures at line rate or at slower controlled rates to DPI or other analyzing applications or to test sand-boxed devices.
ps-rapp is the ideal appliance to capture multi-hour snapshots of one or more links for later in-depth analysis. It can be run in looped mode where it records in a loop and its starting and stopping can be triggered by an external event.
